Nest
In an attempt to reinterpret the essence of dwelling, this study endeavors to blend functionality with architectural character within a framework of warmth and familiarity.
Central to this endeavor is the distinctive iroko wood flooring, which establishes a foundational canvas that highlights the varying tones of the gray walls and unifies the entire interior space. Simultaneously, this choice imbues an air of luxury and comfort while introducing a natural element into the home.
The architectural character further manifests through a series of custom constructions adorned with perforated panels. The bespoke design of the perforations on walnut wood integrates seamlessly with the soft textures of leather and velvet in the living room and dining area.
Meanwhile, large glass surfaces—both on the exterior walls and within—create reflections, dissolve boundaries, and allow for visual continuity between the residence and its surrounding environment. Transparency is enhanced by both natural and artificial light, shaping spaces with transitional character and variable depth.
